Kilkenny Tasting Tours gives you a real flavour for food in Kilkenny city and county.

With Kilkenny named as Ireland’s Foodie Destination for 2018 and the county the home of Savour Kilkenny Food Festival and an abundance of award-winning producers and retailers, there’s never been a better time to pay Kilkenny a food visit.

Enter, Kilkenny Tasting Tours.

Local chef, author and proprietor of Ryeland House Cookery School is Anne Neary, serving as your guide for Kilkenny Tasting Tours.

Over the course of 2.5 hours – give or take a chat – Kilkenny Tasting Tours will lead you from our starting point at the Town Hall in and around Kilkenny city to meet the movers, shakers and food makers making up the jewels in Kilkenny’s food crown.

We’ll sample local artisan chocolates and truffles, vegetarian delights, try out locally-produced beers and gin, and get to know the people behind the food.

Things you should know

Tours are on foot and will proceed whatever the weather.

The venues we’ll visit are all wheelchair accessible.

As we’re walking for a few hours – and yes, we’ll be stopping and eating – you should have comfortable footwear and dress appropriately for the weather.

Also, our tours depart on time as schedule. If you think you’re running late or won’t make your tour time, you should contact us in advance.

We advise arriving at the Town Hall 15 minutes prior to tours departing so that would be 10.30am for morning tours and 4.15pm for evening tours.
